I was thinking more of stealing a 737 from BCIT. installing floats on the fuselage and flying there

What one could do is... Go to Canadian tire, purchase the cheapest dingy they have (19.99) and paddle, use said dingy and paddle, keep the receipt, then return said dingy and paddle the next day. Make sure you have a safety rope to tow in your buddy who is intrepid in most all aspects (dogyears) except when it comes to figuring out how to paddle a dingy.

Where is the Mcbarge located? I'd love to explore that. I could take 4-6 people if it's a one day trip, 3-4 if it's an overnight and people want to sleep aboard. Depending on the day another friend wants to come along, he could carry a couple more at least, and has a spare bunk in his boat.
I found this thread, a list of decommissioned ferries and where they end up, maybe worth keeping an eye on in case they post something interesting.

I actually did get on the old Saanich before they moved her from Anvil Island down to the scrap heaps in Mexico. I'll toss up some photos when I have time...

Fine day it was. Midday in July or August, if my memory serves me right. Spent the trip back with feet hanging off the bow of the boat in the warm ocean spray.

I recall hearing of this fateful voyage...
I believe there was some issues with the dingy on the way back and someone got quite wet...
