Am I the only one slightly pissed off about this? I never post on here, but I wanted to flame this guy out so hard

Many people are less than happy about it.
All the treasure are belong to me. We got a slat, for that! |

when they name a location, and entry point in a news story, im sure most of us are not happy.

The fact that he gave up and had to be rescued......shoulda drank his beer.

I don't know if saying I am pissed is the right word. I'm more annoyed but I bet whoever these guys are they surely did not want to call for rescue. Unfortunately, this crap happens every few years - usually its when someone is hurt though. So while it's good that no one was hurt it also brings up UE to the media again. Looks like this story has faded away pretty quick and doubt we will hear anymore on it. Unless of course someone does some in depth report or does a followup in a month on if charges were brought. I can tell you like most historic property that is looking for city approval for demolition or renovation, the owners of the Pillsbury property really don't care and likely prefer these news stories. It helps further their cause that the building should be torn down or approved for converting into condos. They like to add "it's dangerous and open to trespassing" in submitted plans to the city pointing to these incidents as ammunition that a) this is what is happening now, wait until it sits another few years b) feel bad for us, it's a liability and we can't keep people out. Nothing is going to change at this location. This isn't the first time this has happened and won't be the last. Until it's torn down, of course.
forget regret. |

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.
