So, this is my first UE/model shoot. or a model shoot ever. trying to expand my horizons since i never shoot people unless it's candid street photography. Also, my original model had bailed on me and then Amber offered. she had no prior model experience and some fear of heights and elevators. but she did a good job despite no experience and being nervous! This was practice for a paid shoot in Philly doing band promo shots. Any criticism is highly encouraged! but keep in mind this was my first model shoot.

Great use of whatever it was you used to light her! I might suggest having a shorter depth of field next time maybe. The buildings in the background can become too distracting if they're too clear.

Between 2 and 3, 3 is stronger IMHO. Also digging in the lighting, great use of subject lighting and still capturing the evironmental.

You already know what I think of these, but I figured I'd go on the UER record and reiterate that I dig 'em. Can't wait to work with you, dude.

sorry but to me she looks uncomfortable and ill at ease. the shots themselves are technically fantastic, clear, crisp and as mentioned, great use of available light. but she doesn't seem to fit the shots.

I agree to an extent. she was nervous, yes. my original model who is very experienced had bailed on me. then Amber offered to take a crack at it. all in all, this was more about me practicing my lighting for a paid shoot this weekend. i'm glad we did this and i think we both got a good deal of experience out of it. thanks!
