You (sic) public school underpants are showing.

The single biggest factor in the Iran - Iraq war was the SHIA ISLAMIC revolution in Iran. Iran then demanded a SHIA revolution in Iraq - ruled by the SUNNI BA'ATH party. Bam RELIGIOUS SECTARIAN VIOLENCE that continues to this day.

Rwanda, while not strictly religious pitted two social groups Tutsi and Hutu against one another with so many religious and quasi religious ideas that it is impossible to tell where social, religious and ethnic lines were crossed. The involvement of the x-tian church is well documented.

The relevant Rwandan history is about colonial missionaries dividing the country with the Hutu becoming predominantly roman catholic. Conversion was rewarded with land confiscated from tutsi and give to the majority RC Hutu.

And look up the hutu ten commandments. Strange name for a non-religious war manifesto...

So in a nutshell, the pope fucked rwanda and that led DIRECTLY to the genocide.

You are trying to twist any possible religious connection in a war into the war being a religious war, which is dishonest and retarded.

Guess I better bring up those millions killed in the name of atheism by the USSR, France, and China now. Oh the millions killed by organised atheism!

organized atheism with a political undercurrent. don't forget that; trading one method of control for another.

And the organized religion in the wars listed above did not have a strong political undercurrent as well?

Point is: as long as you have something to unify people (ingroup) and more importantly something to distinguish somebody else (outgroup) you have power and the potential for war and horrible shit.

Totally agreed. I'm glad you have come around and now see that it would be best to do away with religion.

Or... wait... are you saying that you WANT people to use religion to control others and do horrible shit? What kind of monster are you?

Im saying people are controlled based on one ideology or another. Destroy religion you have something else. A world which never had religion would have been and continue to be just as violent as the one we live in today. That is human nature. To pretend otherwise is foolish.

Religion is evil and should be destroyed. Never has it done any good for the world or benefited anybody. Religious people are retards inescapable of rational thought. All wars and violence are the fault of religion, no money, greed, or the desire for power. We should wipe it off the face of the earth so we can all live in a peaceful hippie commune based around science and love.

Happy now?
