It is a careful and reasoned analysis of the appropriate interpretation of Biblical texts regarding homosexuality.

He does a great job with it, but my complaint is that he feels the need to even discuss the issue with the types of people that he is trying to persuade.

He spent two years preparing his argument, and it is both shameful and disgraceful that he believes it is meaningful to argue any point using the Bible as your point of reference.

He has a pulse.

I honestly don't care what people do in their bedrooms, but I personally don't agree with parading your sexuality.

He doesn't think you should discuss your sexual orientation openly, so, in that spirit, I will start the ball rolling by saying that I think Kate Upton seems like a nice young lady.

Yeah, but I think it also means that you should not ever let anyone know if you are interested in males or females. If you have a significant other, you should live publicly as if that person were only a friend or a roommate. If you were ever to let anyone know that you were attracted to any person, someone in the world might be offended because they are stupid and an asshole, and we can't allow that.

i know there is a reason I love you so much. My life needs more Mandias.

Personally, your private life shouldn't be a circus on display, but with that said, if you want to hold hands with your significant other or a peck on the cheek just to say, 'i love you, bitch', where's the harm in that? Now, making out in public or groping the fun bits, you're being an attention whore. Stop that.

and some of my friends HATE Gay Pride events... i always ask 'why?' It's a great fucking party!

Speaking as someone who has actually been interceded upon by a police officer during a semi-drunken public display of affection, I can appreciate that. It was probably for the best.

I mean you should marry and be in a relationship with whoever you'd like, but I don't want to watch you have sex with your husband or wife on a park bench. I also think gay pride parades are great, but walking around in a thong covered in glitter (though pretty badass) won't get us any closer to gay marriage being legal, as it should be.

As for how it relates to the bible, ever read Matthew 6:5?

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."

I think the same applies to your relationships, a marriage is a great thing and a holy thing, be it between two men, a man and a woman, or two women! To show off your sexuality though, by actions that belong to the eyes of only your husband/wife, is to take away it's privacy and give it away to whom ever is at hand to see.

I agree with this, the parades are great parties, but they don't do much for getting rights. PDA is fine, but my dad always told me "Son, if you wouldn't do it in front of Nico (8 year old cousin) don't do it in a park". I think that may be a rare gem from him.

Ohhh, boy. I hope you have a thick skin.

I will say, though, that gay pride parades often seem to reinforce homophobic stereotypes.

Well, simply to be thorough, why does it have to be private? Why shouldn't I express my sexuality in public? For some people, expressing sexuality publicly IS their sexuality.

And what about polyamory?
