Fantastic way to lose your competition license for life... I've seen it happen!

Oh it's not like a moonshine run! They have safety controls and while it's unmarked its private property and they have permission.

Oh ok. We had a Canadian guy organizing his own little "test days" on public roads, even putting up signs saying "Road Closed". This is all well and good if you've actually arranged to use the road. He hadn't. He's not allowed to rally any more.

Yeah...it's a controlled evironment; our SAR group gets asked to be medical on their practices once in a while. But the owner of said property does let anyone with a good brain to use it if you ask. Team Tabor, well Kristen at least I know has a Tercel she sometimes takes to the OHV areas and drives the shit of it if she wants to be wild.

Vermont: 9,600 square miles 325 Troopers Probably only a quarter of them on the road at any given time. Can't be everywhere.
|
and Vermont does not have 24 hour trooper coverage. Depending on barracks, they're done at 12am to 2am.

Between 3am and 5am most cops are finished with the drunks we might have two cars out on patrol in the whole district. Normally at least four, but they usually make between two to ten arrests a night and booking takes officers off the road. It's also a good time for paperwork. Another favorite time to drive is between 9:30 and 11:00 in the morning or at night. It's after the commuter and school rushes but before lunch or drunk rush. Less cars, less cops, and most drivers are awake.

usually the roadblock/gestapo block is at milemarker 100 southbound between Exit 30 (Keene Vally) and 29 (North Hudson, Newcomb). It's more of a Border Patrol thing, but the Staties are right there to make a buck or two.
