I agree. I would like to know why they still have security after its been shut down for years. Scrapping operations perhaps, but it didn't look like there was any scrapping going on yet. Only one way to find out.

And to much power still on as well. That has to cost a bit. I heard something that they sometimes leave these on with a skeleton crew just to keep the machines running a little each week so they will not break down. I do not know how true or real that is.

A few shots from the wild fires near Glencoe on the same day as the Mannford fires. Not very close as I didn't figure people really wanted someone with a camera running through their property snapping pictures. Most of the press coverage was around Mannford, but about 30 homes burned just south of Glencoe. The pictures don't do any justice.

Just outside town. Note the telephone and fence posts hanging by the wire.

They had several old cars in this quonset. I saw a Chevelle and 442 that had been saved.

Glencoe itself was spared, though it wouldn't have been the first time it burned. From 1914.

All you have to do is drive up and hollar at Cajun or me one day. We could even take you by the security guard petting zoo if you're a good boy.

Got bored, so I ended up on the roof of calpine.

Sitting on the edge of the most northern chimney looking NW.

Looking down from one of the chimneys on the filter plant.

SUrD, you would be interested to know that this little old treatment plant is in Pryor.

Didn't have my camera with me, so these are iPhone shots.

hey welcome to the forums... nice first post, although the general rule is to just post 1 or 2 pics rather than do a card dump... but im not gonna scream and yell like some others around here do... in other forums youd get royally flamed for it, but its just part of being the new guy... getting a dose of shit is like a right of passage around here... so keep up the good work...
