I love doing water crossings in a RAT Unit.

We also did a chicane at almost full speed with a 90 degree turn at the end of one of them!

It actually does better than I thought. Ford no longer uses diesels from International Navistar; the Powerstroke diesel in this thing is a 100% Ford motor and it actually hauls ass even at 17,000 lbs!

According to one of the AMR RAT unit drivers, when they did familiarization training, they did 0-60 in about 12 seconds on the drag strip, which is pretty good for a 17,000 lbs 4x4 ambulance!
