I will not enter an area if it: -Is in a dangerous area -Is guarded -Has barbed wire fences -Has security cameras -Has heavily damaged floors -Requires damage to be done in order to enter

A spotter? Really? No such thing. I think you're just funning me...
|
Haha really! It's always a good idea that if you know you're going to be scaling something to have somebody to help watch your foot holds or to hold a light up if you're not wearing a headlamp! Say for example somebody were to be climbing the side of a school, their buddy would shine their light against the wall for them and warn them of bad holds. That way, when the person climbing reaches the top the person spotting has gotten a chance to study the wall and the person at the top can shine a light as well as offer a hand to help the person up. It's also always good to have a buddy climb with you when you are both watching out for each other, that way if ones already tried a foot or hand hold that didn't work they can warn the other one! Also not to mention the fact that if I fell down (regardless of how "my own fault" that would be) I would not want to be alone when Im panicking about broken bones or sprained ankles, especially when the situation could have been avoided by the extra precaution of having somebody check my holds for me while I was climbing. Thats just what I do though! I understand that some people like to explore alone and that would make bringing a buddy to watch out seem a bit redundant haha! The way I see it though is that regardless of circumstance theres always strength in numbers.

I could see that, but that's more sketchy climbing than I like to do. If I need help I don't free climb it. Self reliance is a learned skill set. There are times when the only one who can save you is you. I prefer to explore alone. You are in complete control and have maximum stealth as one of the benefits.

I will never let ANYONE switch my camera to Full Auto. I will never take pics of other people pooping, unless there is enough light to get a sharp exposure. Take only footprints, leave only asbestos.

Don't take anything or break anything. Never go on the roof (that's a little too conspicuous.)

What if there is free candy in the party caves??

I am above some laws, like the law in California that states it is illegal to drink orange juice in the shower. I am below some laws. I will never purposefully commit vehicular manslaughter. So. . . its a balance thing. I personally love drinking orange juice in the shower?? And in regards to trespassing and liability, I'm not a trigger happy guy would sue you if your decrepit building fell on me, so let me sneak in and go explore it!!

I can't think of much I wouldn't do given the right circumstances (good or bad), but here's one I thought of: I will NOT eat anything from in an abandonment. The same still applies though, in that I could see trying to eat something if I was trapped but had water available. If I was trapped without food or water, I wouldn't bother because I'd obviously die of dehydration first. Related question; does anyone know, do you die from dehydration faster or slower if you eat things? I can't really find any info on this

I will not... -Break and Enter -Climb anything that isn't a fence or a latter (I'm really bad at climbing) -Go exploring alone -Explore in a city at night -Be under the influence while exploring I think that's about it.. my friends tried to get me to climb up a hose to get to the top of something once and no way would I have survived it. I'm not afraid of heights, I'm just reaaaalllyy bad at climbing things that aren't meant to be climbed. -A

I think you exercised sound judgement by not climbing that hose; hose couplings can fail without warning and even new hoses aren't designed to be used as rope. Climbing a hose is just asking for it. Structural steel is a blast to climb. Start small and work your way up. Never climb anything you don't think is safely doable. You get one chance. There's no "if I fall". Falling is not an option; it's death. Abort a climb if you need to at any time. Three points of contact at all times, each handhold and foothold count; take your time and don't make mistakes. Never jump even if it's the last 2 feet down. Never climb wet steel and night climbs are for those with a lot of day climbing experience. Even a short fall onto steel is going to be bad, expect broken bones at the least. You should be able to do at least 6 chip ups; upper body strength and endurance are needed to climb safely. Train like you play.

I wouldn't do the normal stuff like B&E and I generally don't explore alone, but I have done it before. I generally won't take anything from a site (I would not at all if it caused property damage to take) but there are some certain situations where I would. Like if I was exploring a site and the floor was littered with perfectly preserved original Second World War German helmets and/or uniforms (oh what are the odds of this ever happening?), you could bet your ass I'd take a few, and maybe even come back for more As Indiana Jones says, "it belongs in a museum".

Bring people who's safety I am concerned about(as in my girlfriend) to places that I have not been before and do not know the safety of. Go exploring with people that do not follow the golden rule of exploration Get caught by the 5-0
Never waste a day. |

I WILL NOT: -Climb things about 20ft that aren't without a railing -Go anywhere with even a little bit of suspected radioactivity -Go anywhere without a gas mask ;D

I do *not* cut fences, break doors or windows. It's one thing to be caught in a place but to actually force entry or be caught with tools....but..I carry 24/7 when going into places like that. So far I haven't had to reach for it but I will protect my family when I have to. Also, any police trouble that is the first thing I announce (when asked). Only had 1 run in with the law and they actually started to bullshit with me about what I carry, calling it a "sissy gun". I said you can call me whatever just don't arrest me lol.
