Posted by Spiritwalker There are various things I will NOT do to get into a property.I love exploring, and I am not above the law,but I will not put myself or anyone I am with at risk
I will NOT
1.Go beyond gates that are padlocked
2.Make my own POE into the house, including ripping down boards
3.Cut fences
4.Explore properties near heavily populated areas (farmers carry salt guns and pellet guns here)Ever been shot in the ass with a salt gun?
Now in saying all the above,I explore rural areas only (For now) and for the most part, there are places that are still actively used by farmers, and I found out that just because someone farms a property, doesnt mean he owns it.Alot of times if a place is abandoned, the farmer will take over the land and use it to his advantage
Are there specific things you will not do?

trespassing is illegal... if you arent willing to put yourself at risk quit now. find a new hobby.
When I first started doing this I wrote myself some rules:
1. Never be seen entering/leaving a cave or tunnel. 2. Never drink before an adventure. 3. If too dangerous, proceed with extreme caution/bring someone if possible/leave note detailing where you are going. 4. Always bring two flashlights. 5. If light-headed and/or mysterious non-sulfur smells arise; leave immediately. 6. Never smoke a cigarette/light a match or a lighter. Never.
Also, I've come across some very steep, high up climbs that I've backed off from.
And, I never go to a place with signs telling me not to be there and/or fences.
Posted by Moderate Loading shotgun shells with rocksalt actually does nothing. It's as much a myth as cow-tipping. There is 0 penetration, so the salt won't get into your wound, so it won't hurt...the only thing that could hurt is getting hit with the plastic wad. My friend and I have reloaded with rocksalt, and many other crazy loads, and there's also this:
I won't take anything from properties except photos...that's about the only rule for me. If I stopped at every locked gate, barbed wire fence, or no trespassing sign I'd have barely any photos.
I know someone that was shot with rock salt and had a round hole in his shoulder about 2 inches wide... said it was the very worst pain he ever experienced lol... There may be a difference in the size or grade of rock salt that you are reloading with but he had a very nasty scar to prove it.
According to the nation of Islam, a red triangle just means that you must watch your step. Or, maybe you're right and I am thankful I've never seen a sign like this ever before.
sewage. ewwww. when i watch into the darkness the part with the shitsicles and where they almost pass out grosses me out so much. and im an avid internet person and see the most gruesome shit ever - every day. for some reason sewage is just a thing i will not do
When one man, for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself
I will never break and enter. I will never run from security, or at them for that matter. It is easier to just talk to them. I will never trust locals who tell me it is safe to drive on the beach / ice.
I'd only run from security if they see me entering or exiting. In that case there's no reason to chat, they become an obstacle...if you can get to your car and peace out before they pull out their phone and call the real police, why not just abscond?
I will not. . . 1) Take items from a site unless it is being razed within the month. (For purposes of preservation, neh?) 2) Make fun of the homeless people I see once in a while. 3) Start a fight with a squatter. 4) Also no pissing off senior explorers.
Entry to the rooftop playground is free, if you look up enough to know it's there. -Dsankt on 'The Crane Style'
