Split window Bug is home

Finally got my '52 Bug out of the woods. It was rescued from a scrap yard in 1967 and hasn't done anything since.

The amazing thing about this car is how solid it is, virtually no rot through, and the floorpan is actually shiny where the undercoating all fell off after moving it from the wilderness yesterday.

And it had a really cool sticker in the trunk!

Rather excited to start researching this car as there's a good chance that if it's a Canadian car, it came here on the first shipment of VWs to Canada ever... which had one black Beetle on it.

That thing does look rather stout for sitting so long! Any news on the flatfender?

That would be incredible if it was THE black Beetle from the first Canada shipment. Have fun with her!

Actually I went and looked at one last month, but was a convertible and had some issues with the rear suspension. Was a 90. I think it had been wrecked honestly. I ain't forgot about ya

Haven't had time to think about the Jeep yet... (And waiting for leaves to show up on the trees so I can do it stealthily!)

Damn! What a neat machine. That exterior looks serviceable! Drop in a warmed over twin-port, disk front end, some minimum interior bits, and drive it! Lucky ride.

I was always happy to work on mine... Neko.

I'll bring a truck and we can get the Jeep out before its Hard Cider season
