Well then you haven't been out with the Command yet then. Our gear is top notch, so's the brew. Mouser Week has been known for falling down drunk rappelling. But we always double check our rigging. Kids, do not try this at home, we are professional drinkers, with a rope problem.

I drink gasoline for breakfeast and beer for dinner!
Any problem can be licked with a case of beer and a few sticks of dynamite.

While doing some electrical work on-rappel inside one of the big wind turbine towers I was working on, I found that the handled ascender w/footloop & Rig combo works pretty well if you're not jugging up hundreds of feet of rope.

You Rig down to where you want to be, and if you have to move upwards you just hook on the handled and slide it up, then when you stand in the footloop you pull the tail through the rig and sit back down on it. Pretty easy. Worked really nicely for simple up/down adjustments.
