its that outstanding german build quality, ya know. Peerless engineering at its finest.

So how come every time I see a car in the scrapyard that's less than 5 years old, it's a GM?

Maybe it's because there are more GMs on our roads ?

maybe its because Canadians are awful to their cars? Maybe its the scrapyards you frequent? or maybe you're trying to get a rise out of me?

I think it's because Canadians wreck mostly GM vehicles. Go to BC for example and you find LOTS of smashed Chevy Trucks!

BC is not Canadas only populated province so thats not entirely relevant. Hell, BC has 1/3 the population of Ontario. And out here, the yards are full of GMs and Chryslers. they just produce lots of crap.

Audi is 12 years, and it doesn't even have to pierce a hole, Audi doesn't want their older cars looking like shit so they'll warranty it to keep their name looking good.

good luck getting work done under warranty. I had to fight Audi Lauzon in Laval to do repair work on one of my doors on my A4. They ended up doing it after much trouble, but did piss poor work.

BC is the only province where I have looked around in the Junkyards. I never got a chance to hunt around in Ontario or Quebec junkyards.

Also, keep in mind, GM from WWII to the 90s, was the largest car maker in the world so of course you will find their products in the majority of scrap yards!

and your point is? i have a buddy who owns stake in a kia dealer, doesnt mean they are good cars and service advisors dont have to be technical people, they are nothing more than salesmen cross bred with cashiers

THIS

Except at my Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealer, the cashier knows more than the service advisors. Then again, she's basically Jennifer from WKRP mixed with HerbLaur.
