I just got a "new" computer, and have been playing with it some, I decided to throw OSX on it - I have not used OSX hardly at all before, but I know 9 very well. I was wondering if anybody could give me some tips of helpfull things which are different or new to know about OSX. I'm thinking I will use this computer for playing music and videos, and maybe hook up a firewire hard drive if I get a USB/Firewire PCI card - how much can I get one for? Right now I'm running 10.3 on a G3 tower with 468 megs. ram, a 8 and a 4 gig hard drive, a burner and a regular cd drive, a PCI ethernet card, one slot open, and a 300 mhz. processor which I might overclock. Are there any cheap PCI graphics cards I could get to add a second moniter?

I dont know what kind of feedback I will get, but whatever people have to say is appreaciated.

Oh yeah, I might do some PS or FCP editiing too, depending on how sluggishly slow they run.

well you can get a fire wire hard drive for around 100 bucks its about 40 gigs. As for vid cards you could get a nvidia one from newegg.com just look around on there. I dont know much about macs but it should do you fine.

pci video cards for dual monitor are not chrap i bought one.

Macs, I have a 1meg PCI, it doesnt compat with XP though.
