I never knew this guy directly but I've seen his stuff floating around before, and we had talked a bit over flickr years ago when I used to post most of my photos there. There will be an event and exhibit of his urbex photography on November 5, to raise money for suicide prevention.

I saw some of his photos on display in Northslice Pizza and overheard someone saying that they were depressing. Not sure if that was due to the subject matter or knowledge of how the photographer died - probably a little of both. A couple of the photos I saw were pretty nice.
