The Japanese automaker is recalling 52,000 2009-10 Mazda6 vehicles over concerns the fuel tank could crack and leak — because of spider webs. Another 15,000 vehicles are being called back in Canada and Mexico.

	They can build their webs in the evap system, causing a clog and potential overpressure. That can then lead to fuel leaks and that can lead to fires. This is truly an example of engineering your goods to all known variables, just to have another variable present itself.

	GM vent valves are really bad for spiders and wasps building nests in... but I've never seen a recall.

	I'd rather see a recall about something small when it's still small. Once your car burns down, there's not much that can be done.
