The best thing to ever come out of Windsor, is named after Windsor

i think he was meaning 302 and 351 Ford V8's...

one thing that I notice here is that all the dirtbag trailer trash welfare scumbags ALL drive either Caravan/Voyagers, Ford Contours or Ford Taurii.

I seem to remember that the market for Caravan buyers (Families and what not) at the time of its launch in 1994 were more inclined to own any car to 100,000. thats why the 7/70 (7/115 in Canada) warranty was popular with Caravan buyers.

Come to think of it, the Caravan my parents had as a child, we bought that brand new in 1990 and drove it to 121,000 miles in 2001. Then when I got my infamous 1995 Caravan with the MMC 3.0 V6 from my grandfather, it was on its 3rd owner and I ended that car with 131,556 on it.

scumbags buy them here because they're cheap and hole-in-the-wall fly-by-night dealers can't give them away.

and those were also produced in Cleveland too!

The trailer trash/scumbags/tire iron murders/whatever here in Oregon seen to be driving early 90s/late 80s Ford products. I think even Tonya Harding (who is from Oregon and lives in a Double Wide!) drives a Ford F350 from like 1994 :p

There's a guy rolling around town here who exemplifies the white trash stereotype. Rolls in an early 90's Chevy Extended cab. He has a Honda generator on some crazy fabbed up bracket strapped to the front of the truck. In the back is a refrigerator (full size), that is plugged into said generator with a cord that goes up and over the roof.

He has this rusty old camping trailer that he moves from parking lot to parking lot until the owner complains and he moves it. Usually behind a hotel or into Walmart. He has yet to make an appearance in my parking lot or I will greet him with a tow truck.

They dumped them because they all could not compete with the legendary Caravan

The Routan is the biggest piece of crap VW has had in their lineup since the B4 Passat.

Ahem!

At least in the case of the Routan... if ANYONE got the minivan thing right, it was definitely Chrysler, so I can see VWs reason since the Eurovan was a fucking joke.

And

Actually, I don't totally hate the new Caravan. If it's good enough for Volkswagen, it's good enough for me

Jesus man, you need to get out more.

The Routans have pretty ridiculous issues (cracked intake manifolds, two transmissions that have totally grenaded- before 20,000 km, fuel filler necks that aren't totally welded all the way around causing EVAP leaks), rear brake pads losing friction material (improperly bonded)

... and the interiors are very cheap and VERY rattly in true Mopar fashion. VW tried to germanize it a bit, but you can't really polish a turd. My friend just bought a new Ram 3500 Megacab. It's absolutely gorgeous. Until you see the interior, which looks and feels like it's from some Chinese knock-off car.

Coincidentally, any Volkswagen employee at head office who had anything to do with the Routan deal has been, ummm... set free.

I do stand by my "if anyone got the minivan right it was dodge" quote- but I don't think it deserves a VW badge... it's not good enough for VW, or me.

LOL that's funny shit

So this morning a guy rolls in to the store in a new Taurus SHO. WOW, totally impressed. It looked great, was heavily optioned and seemed well put together. I didn't drive it of course so who knows if it backs up the looks...if it does, looks like a win for Ford

it could be gutsier, BUT the potential is there. If you do drive it, it has that Audi feel... by that, I mean it feels heavy, like there is a bunch of heft at the front end.
