i had my yearly health assessment at work and my diet change has paid off somewhat... my blood sugar was down to 108, which is a little higher than the norm of 80, but within limits. Also, I had gobble a hunk of ham before I went to the thing.

weight is a hard thing for me because of other things i have going on. with the advent of hunting season, the majority of the trails that I can ride on the warrior are now closed. It's kind of an unwritten thing... we can ride their leases/trails during the late spring, summer and early fall, but come bambi killing season, please refrain from being there. Believe it or not, riding the ATV (and I mean riding it, not tooling about, RIDING the motherfucker) has contributed a lot to my weight loss. If you have never ridden a dirtbike or ATV, it involves everything you have to really make the machine talk. I'm not talking about one of those plush 4x4 800cc+ monsters; i mean the little chain driven racers.

I slept for 2 days and walked like an old grandpa in pain after riding a Honda 450 for a weekend, and that was just going to and from at a race track. Id imagine riding outdoors is like wrestling a horse.

exactly, it's just a blast, though, Dave. It's a bug you get bitten with and there's no stopping it. Even when i had that little Bayou 250 (which i still ride from time to time), there is still nothing like just going out and exploring places that you thought you knew... there are so many trails I have come across that led me to places that I never knew existed.

Werd. I do a lot a dual sport riding. I can get lost for hours on old dirt roads that I never knew existed, and never be more than 20 minutes from home.

Ayyyymen. I love old dirt/gravel roads.

Sam- sucks about the diabeetus, but low carb is the way to go. Look at drew carey, he lost like 100lbs. Ive dropped about 30 lbs in the last year by trying to keep daily carbs under 50g, though I still pig out once in a while...
