i am a sculptor, ceramicist, and sometimes glassblower. these things combined with my financial position of being broke as fuck require that I build the equipment I wish to have from scratch. My latest project is a woodfired kiln as pictured here
Does anyone else here build their own gear? if so, post some photos!

That is the most legit homemade kiln I've ever seen. (not that I'm an expert) Nice work!

I've built small stuff before, like a light table and various racks/stands, but nothing so very pretty and functional.

Nice! I've always wanted to build my own things but lack any tools.

thanks for the kind words all, Ill be finishing this kiln soon, firing it for the first time in mid-october. If any of you all are in or are going to be in the baton rouge area around then you're welcome to stop by. After its finished, i'll be starting a second kiln that I poured a pad for already.
