Interesting photos. Looks like...OVR is still borrowing CN units, one of the CP Genset locomotives is working up in Sudbury (the other is currently in Oshawa) and the rare VIA RDC4 is alive and well.

There are 3 Budd RDC's in service here on Vancouver Island. One is on the mainland, heading east for a new refit/engine. One is privately owned.

VIA used to have the weird Buffet cars on the Island Service, right SteamPunk?

Thanks! All I know is that the Budd car was coming from Chapleau to Sudbury. No idea where it went after that.

The Sudbury-White River train. Departure on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

My guess is that he was throwing switches as this train left the yard.

Ahh. I saw his hand on a boxcar. I was trying to figure out if he was maybe checking a door or something.

He was checking cars for HOBO's! they exist, and are REAL!!! This interview is OVER!!!!

You guys may already know this but the Budd plant in Philly was abandoned for awhile and still might be. My wife takes the PATCO trains from NJ into Philly and their entire fleet is those same Budd cars.
