i just bought a $300 archos 5 in december and already the headphone jack is fucked and the plastic is cracking. ive never dropped it or handled it rough. fuck you archos i am n e v e r buying your shitty over priced products again.

I have no idea. I didn't know much about the company when i got it. never herd of them 4days previous of my purchase its just been getting worse as the day goes on. my one option is to buy a dvr dock or somthing that the head phones can connect to its like $80 vs prolly well over $100 to get it fixed. and thank you :3

archos has to have the worst customer support ever. ive been on hold now for 30minutes
After a cheery 45 minutes of waiting this man came on and it sounded like his mother died....he was the sadest customer support person i have talked to.

I learned my lesson from archos long ago. While their product seems promising it just really isn't. I had bought a product from them a year or two ago and thank god some idiot bought it on ebay from me and I bought a Zune instead.
I had 30gigs of music to transfer over, and somehow only 8 gigs would work while the others were "corrupted?" I think not. I tried every transfer method imaginable. Nothing worked.
I usally never give up, but on this I did. Customer support sucked. Im a strong advocate of telling people to NEVER buy archos.
