Could have been worse and you found them a day later picking up after your dog.

That would have been WTF x2!

Keys, as well as TV remote controls, should have a locating beeper like cordless phones.

remember, if you lose something its always in the last place you put them. What makes me crazy and want to kill someone with a dull butter knife is when you say you lost something, and the person asks "Well where did you lose it?" WTF OMG If I knew it wouldnt be lost you stupid son of a bitch.

My parents got me one of these for Christmas one year (I'm notorious for losing things). All you had to do was whistle and it would let out these high-pitched annoying beeps for like two minutes straight.

Damn thing went off when I laughed.

I liberated my keys of it shortly after (it was fucking annoying) and haven't seen it since.

Glad you found them, that is indeed a piss off.

When my daughter was about two years old,she got a hold of car keys. After hours and hours of searching every square inch of anywhere she had been since the night before, they were finally located. The keys were found at the bottom of the oil tank out back for the furnace, which was half full.

My wife would lose keys all the time... there were two sets of keys to each vehicle in our house, so we never really realized a set was missing until both sets were gone. After finding all the keys one day, I decided to keep the spare set for each vehicle in our safe. We only left out a set for each car, and that would force us to always look for the keys, not just grab the spare and hope to find the primary later.

When someone tells me something is lost, I always ask them where they remember having the item last.. sometimes that jogs their memory about where the item could have gone after that point.

Hey I have you beat... I lost a patient who had a stroke once. Clinicals in a hospital, patient was in bed 7, unconscious, and I went to get the EKG to hook him up. Came back 3 minutes later and....no patient. had security looking everywhere, don''t know if he ever turned up.
