SAAB is interesting. I somehow got a SAAB rental car once due to a weird mishap with a reservation. I can't remember what the model was, but it was interesting. It felt like a Renault that was made for the US. It was something different than any US or Japanese automaker that I have ever driven.

I wish I had the money to buy one of these brands that GM is getting rid of. I'd love Saturn and their distribution network. Use the nameplate to bring in makes from other markets. When I could start buying factories of my own, I'd build my own everyday bread and butter car. Something that didn't have every toy found in Av's apartment, but a real car. Something that's built to be maintained by anyone. Put a USB port in it to interface with the computer and include diagnostic software with the car. Market it as the brand that real men buy. No fufu SUVs. Real cars and trucks. That's what America needs now. We need real cars and trucks. Couldn't give a shit where they come from, but I want something I can fix in my driveway and will last 250,000 miles with proper maintenance. I don't want to have to buy a $3000 computer to interface with it, I'd love to use my existing laptop.
Sorry for the wandering rant, I'm watching the Office and eating chips and salsa.

hate to burst your bubble but dealers make most of their money in service and repairs not sales

Ah, the Saab. Let's make it FWD and then turn the engine like its not and then, just for the fuck of it, put it in backwards. So the belts will be a bitch. And make it look like a door stop.

yeah, but changing a clutch in those Saabs is soooooooooooooooooooooooo easy. i'm not kidding... it's a breeze to change a clutch in those. finding a replacement transmission, however, is a bitch.
