Yeah there are signs. Here's how the conversation basically went. I was walking up to the shop to open up for the day and I notice a woman and her kid walk up to the door. I think for a second, no... they must have the wrong place. I say hello and unlock the door.

stupid woman with her kid (looked to be around 7 or 8) next to her: "Hi I just need some jeweled panties" [she's a stripper]

me: "Uh sure, but you can't take him in here"

woman: "Why??" [I FUCKING HATE WHEN THEY ASK ME WHY]

me: "Because this is a porn shop and it is illegal to bring children in here"

woman: "But he's my son" [swear to god she honestly said that]

My bf (general manager) brought me to work today so as he gets out of the car and walks over I tell her she can talk to him about it. I'm sick and don't need to deal with this shit. He rants at her. Meanwhile I'm inside trying to turn the alarm off. It's been glitchy so they must have all heard me yell quite a lot of profanities in the mean time.

elderly resident at nursing home asked to go to the bathroom before church service because they don't want to wet themselves in God's eyes.

ask nurse or cna if they could take them **1 hr before church service.

20 min before service go to pick up resident and are stopped because they still havent gone to the bathroom.

ask cna and nurse again if resident could be taken to restroom before church.

church begins, now an hour has passed, go to transport resident again, stopped again, told they still havent been taken to restroom


***during this hr period I have transported over 40 residents to rec. room for church, gotten coffee for residents, passed out coffee to basically all residents, met chaplain, passed out prayer and song books. Witnessed nurse and cna in lounge sitting and watching tv and reading a magazine.***

church ends, transport all residents back to their rooms, return coffee cart, put away all church items, clean tables, come back to office and resident is out in hallway in which I am stopped again and told they still have yet to be taken to restroom.

**elapsed time from first request of bringing resident to restroom to now almost 3 hrs.

go to nurse and cna, ask again, go to leave, hear myself being called an annoying bitch under breath, turn around and address that. I say I'm not deaf, would you like to repeat what you just called me, get told to fuck off from cna.

gotta love nursing homes staff members

Nursing home CNA's and nurses are the ones that can't hack jobs with real nursing work(for the most part, I have met a handful that are decent).

I am now a safety inspector/ equipment manager for the largest mural restoration project in the world. I have been called "the most unsafe gentleman on the planet". My entire crew has been injured. That pisses me the fuck off. I have to come up with an evacuation plan in case of monsoons. This is bullshit. My plan is "fuck safety, get the fuck out of the river, bitches". I don't think I'm qualified for my job but right now am the only person that knows it so I can't get fired.

Coming back from two days off, only TWO, and having the stupidest questions. I write step by step guides for some of the processes we need to follow, a monkey could follow it, yet i still get questions. Even the girl with the eidetic memory is asking me stuff... My cubicle buddy came over and gave me a candy because of all the dumb questions I got. I want to go back to the MSCOW camp-out weekend.

This sounds truly amazing. Can you give us some clues or tell us what this mural is. Without exposing yourself, so to speak.

Having to constantly go though 50 billion doors that use various keys, RFID cards and numerical pass codes, all of which are different with no logical order behind them so that I have to sort thought a ball of jangling keys and a mess of cards at each door with the effect that it takes about 45 minutes to go down the hall to bathroom and back to my office. I understand some need for security and segmentation, but this seems like a thoughtless sprawl of brain death.

The town I work in is probably changing the law so that we can only park in front of our store for two hours at a time. Our options are to take the train (fine until we have to move merchandise from one store to the other) or pay $275 for each person who works here to get a business permit.

I hate when after lunch at work I don't have floss and instead have to make do with a post it or business card.

I have a coworker who blatantly ignores me and refuses to acknowledge any sort of communication. It's obnoxious. We need to communicate for work. If she can't do that, I don't know why she's even here. We hired her for her availability, but she has been requesting off days every other week. Again, I have no idea why she's even here.

This is why I probably shouldn't be a general manager. I'm way too quick to fire people.

A lot of baby boomers CAN'T retire because pensions are absolute shit now or they couldn't put enough money into savings to help with retirement. My grandfather had to work until the day he died because his pension didn't cover all of his bills (he worked as a welder in a large company). The cost of living now is higher than what pensions can accomodate for.

I got immaturity from management this morning...so I'm not happy either.

Being the only person who works here that cares about the store. It's the simplest job in the world. You come in, turn on the power, count the register, record the amount (we have to start doing this because apparently no one knows how to count), make sure the store is neat, sell shit, re organize the store, vacuum, turn off the power, lock up, and leave. Apparently I am the only person who works here who is competent enough to do these tasks. I find it endlessly amusing how people in this country can be so desperate to work, but when they get a job, they don't do a fucking thing.

I feel people should take pride in what they do. You don't have to like it, but doing a job well (or not) is a reflection on yourself. Am I just insane? Probably.
