I've worn a beard probably the last 10 years. Wow how the time flies.
I'd keep it nice an trimmed, not a crazy hippy beard or anything. Yesterday I decided to shave it all off for a change. OMG the humanity!
-My face is chilly as hell. My skin is used to its natural blanket. -From shaving I have tons of these little razor burn blisters around my chin and jaw. I pop them in batches of 10-20 and they keep coming back. -The skin itself is irradiated and 'oozing' fluid. -I can tell this is going to result in some ingrown hairs which suck. -Even though I regularly wash my face, with a beard you get hidden pimples that you don't know you have until you shave. Now I look like a teen who just hit puberty with a pizza face. I have 3 huge ones near the corner of my mouth and it looks like I have herpes. -Just typing this post I feel it itching and burning...I want to rip my face off.
With the beard I regularly shave my neck and have no problems there, probably because it's regular and my skin is used to it. On my face however, WWIII is breaking out.
Now the question is how long do I let my face heal before shaving and and tearing it up some more?
This sucks! All just because in the summer I didn't want to have a tanned face, but pasty white under the beard.

Try hydrocortisone cream. When I was a dancer the girls used under arm deodorant on the areas of the bikini line after shaving to help stop the bumps. Eh works for that maybe you might want to try it.

I actually do. I switched to a double edged safety razor about a year ago. Best thing in the wold. So yah, I also use the brush and the soap and all that crap too.
It works great on my neck. Tried to apply the same logic and technique to my face too. I think my face needs some time to adjust to getting evicted from its home (my beard).

I swear I have seen pictures of you and I don't recall there being a beard. I still vote for a sexy beard. Not a pussy trimmed beard, but a real man's beard.

Hah! It's the pussy trimmed beard. Never longer than 1/8th of an inch. I'm no lumberjack or anything, so I pass on the whole lumberjack beard scene
Actually....my beard looks like this: (well used to look like that before I shaved it)

Razor burn? Get Bikini Zone. Burns like hell the first time you put it on fresh razor burn (or sore recently-waxed skin), but after that just keep reapplying and it goes away rather quickly. ........ Also. I'd like to announce that I'll show someone my boobs if they provide video of them waxing their balls.

Bikini Zone? Really? I appreciate the advice, but I think you got the wrong trent... I will never willfully apply a product called 'Bikini Zone' to my skin regardless of it's miracle working abilities.
Also, sorry, regardless of how wonderful your boobs might be it's not worth the Guantanamo Bay style torture of which you describe. That's just wrong.

Hey man. If you don't have the guts to suck it up and use something great @ combating your problem because of its name... I think you need to suck it up and deal with the problem that you have a simple solution for.
That and you need to remember... Real men wear pink and aren't afraid to get a little girly if needed ;)
Oh, also. You should @ least find a salon that uses a wax called "nudesse". They'll be able to get you some anti-bacterial stuff that you need to put on those bumps- ESPECIALLY if you're popping them. The stuff I use is Finipil ... But it is also for slower re-growth and I doubt you want that. So go get some just for the fixing the skins.
They'll probably have free samples. They usually would only give them to waxing customers, but as a brave, cute man, I'm sure you can finagle some out of them.
Sorry that the products are marketed mostly toward women, but it's obviously a better market.
