No one had a problem with that either until people (mostly) in the northeast decided it had to be done a certain way before something was to be considered worth looking at.

There was a bunch of people I missed, You included.

Place just isnt what it used to be.

As Tullo said, 90% of the photo threads are flash,Crooked shots of nothing of interest. With about 20 responses of "WOW! Awesome shots man!"

None of the locations alot of the people post now, Are exciting.
No one wants to see your car wash, or gas station..

Also, As I said before. Since when is naming location for everyone to see alright?
Last I checked, That shit didnt fly.

You asked, You got a PM.
Or you sent the OP a Pm.

I thought he was talking about me.

It appears there are three of those around here. And all of them are old faces on uer. Bitches gotta stick together.

And I don't post pics on here often because it's like a highschool on these boards. I would rather be helpful via pm or in person. Also been trying to break in the new kids that way too. Gotta learn them up somehow.

Oh well. There used to be a time where people could just post pictures from their adventures without fear of being flamed by someone who says their stuff sucks because something's off by .25 degrees. I know it can be trying to have to look at threads with photos from people who aren't as concerned about the creative side of photography, but it's exactly that sort of "horrendous" stuff that this site was founded on.

Were those people's adventures always so boring?

Seriously, its the same shit over and over. People are afraid to try something new. Why do people think the only things you can explore are abandonments?

I agree with you 100%, but aren't you as guilty of this as anyone else? I like your photography, but for the most part it's all old abandonments and generally in line with what I'd consider to be the northeast cliché. Maybe you're trying something new and not letting the rest of us know, but to me it just looks as though you're part of the problem.

Thats a fair observation, but I dont always take pictures when I explore, nor do I post them all. I obviously find abandonments to be the most interesting, though rooftops are a close second. But they are more repetitive and usually I'll just upload a few shots from my adventures climbing buildings. I normally dont take pictures of the actual infastructure of the building or the fire escapes and crane/scaffolding/ladder climbing. I just upload the boring but pretty citiescapes.

And one of the things that got me into this all in the first place is the fact that I enjoy breaking into active buildings and complexes, even construction sites. Its just not something I usually take my camera with me for, and when I do its a shitty point and shoot. I don't post any of these pictures, mostly cuz they suck:

That shot is from the only set of infiltration I have ever considered posting.

I recently turned three.

I should celebrate my posting my usual fare of photoshopped images and shitty expired film sets.

Cause hey.

It just ain't worth posting real sets around these parts.

This place runs in cycles. Most of the oldies that were here when I was just a baby are gone. Matter of preference I guess...."it's better to burn out than to fade away" or not.

A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.
