| | | And if it's already been said here, fuck 'em again!!! I have always hated Comcast. When I moved into my new apartment last year, I was assured that they would allow me to have a satellite dish. That is until the DirecTv guy came out to set it up and they wouldn't sign the permission for set-up. Okay, so back to cable.... and Comcast is all we've got. Oddly enough, only one billing issue comes up until January. Suddenly we're being charged double for cable- the original promotional price, and the "normal" price that we were supposed to go to after 6 months or however long it was for. I called multiple times, told that the charges were fixed and would be reflected on my next bill. Each time nothing was fixed, and each time I told them that they would be getting no money from me until my bill was correct. No big shock when my cable was cut off last Wednesday. I was also told that day by a customer service rep that no one would fix anything over the phone... I would have to go to the main office. Fantastic. The next day I go down, and am helped by someone who was actually nice, which was a shock. She went through all our bills, imputed something into the computer, and reconnects our cable. We pay $200, and were told that the remaining past due amount (corrected amount) would be on our next bill, and to pay the remainder at that time. No worries. Until yesterday when our cable was turned off again. I called Comcast, hoping that is was a technical issue. I was told on the phone that I owed $600+ (which shows that nothing was fixed in the computer) and that I would have to pay a minimum of $230 to have my cable/internet turned back on..... WTF?!?! So I have to go BACK to the offices, like I have all the time in the world to fix other people's incompetent mistakes. AND! I have to avoid physical violence, which is getting more and more difficult each time I make t the journey to my local Comcast office.... We will have our service turned back on tomorrow, one way or another, however, we will be moving in the next month or two, almost entirely so we don't have to deal with this crap anymore. FUCK COMCAST!!!

| | | Ditto. Comcast sucks. I signed up for the $99.99 bundle which includes phone service, cable and internet service. So, why is my bill $165.00 each month?? I have NO premium channels; only the expanded basic and the music channels. When you call them, they keep saying they are going to adjust the bill, straighten it out, blah blah blah, but it never happens. Not only that, there phone service SUCKS! On the messaging service, it doesnt leave you the day and time the message came in which is ridiculous. Sometimes the caller ID doesn't work. You cannot delete a message unless you listen to the ENTIRE thing which is extremely annoying; especially if your getting lots of telemarking calls. When my stupid "NOT $99.99" plan is through, I'm going to try Verizon. So if anyone has any suggestions on THEIR service, please advise.

| Comcast has the envelope details turned off by default, but you can turn them on by hitting "4" for options. It's somewhere in there. You may then have to hit "2" for administrative options. | Apparently the phone reps are only there to take your money, offer meager technical support, and get you the hell off the phone. I got one honest person over the phone last week, she told me that they would never at any point do anything to fix my bill over the phone. Even at the office today they had to get a supervisor to go into my account and fix things. My bill is about $166, and I have internet and digital cable with every movie package imaginable. And some kind of sport package. I can't imagine what they are doing to pad your bill, unless they aren't giving you the 'bundled' rates. Bastards.
