	My computer has finally reached that point of fucked. I now have to reinstall windows vista(YAY!) I'm in safe mode right now, Only mode that will work. I now have to put all my pictures and music on a cd, So I will at;east still have those when i restart everything. Unless someone has a better idea?

To answer the real question though. Caligula, it just depends on how you do the re-install. If the Vista install formats the hard drive, then you you'll need to backup everything the way you are.

Though if you have an option to not re-format the HD and you can install just install Vista of the top of itself there's a good chance you'll keep some of your settings and some previously installed programs. You might be able to find some programs in C:\Windows\Program Files even though their shortcut/link might be missing in the start menu/desktop. Take a look here before reinstalling everything,

Either way though, back up your important data regardless of what you do.

_{DISCLAIMER: I've never really used Vista, but the above methods have been know to work on previous Windows versions. Also, if you lose your data it's not my fault!}

	Well, What it does is A big blue screen with alot of writing pops up. Says "Dumping Physical Memory:20/40/50/80/100. Then restarts, Does this alot. I tried a System restore, Damn system won't let me.

	Just go back to your imaged version of a good install and restore your data from your daily backup. Even replacing a hard drive I can have a refreshed, perfectly working Vista experience in a hour or two. You do image and backup appropriately, right?

I don't think so.
Especially because the 1 year warranty expired last month..
It is going to take a day to fully compress all my pictures and send them to myself via email/Burn em to a disk.
6 hours to do the same with my music.
