Erik's farewell letter to coworkers (God I love this man)

To my friends and colleagues:
Guess what? If you have not heard already, unfortunately today is my last day with ________ . I have learned so much and have had many amazing memories during my time here. I want to thank everyone for your friendship, knowledge and all the laughs. You all have made my experience at ________ very dear to my heart. I will not stray and end up "live'n in a van down by the River". I hope to meet again sometime in the future, but as for now "I have to get on the right track" and move on out. For all of you that have not seen my training skit, the you tube link is below.
Best of luck and please keep in touch with me.

She has the prettiest eyes I have ever seen.

I was going to say it, but you said it first. Get out of my head.

I am sure I will never never understand why things happen the way they do to people they happen to. I have had some really crappy shit happen to me in the last few years. I try to remember this

Whenever one door closes another opens even though,
Sometimes It's Hell in the Hallway.

Does not always work but that hellish hallway gave way to those pretty eyes. Hang in there you guys.

2008 was actually one of the best years for me, besides my husband being in and out of jobs... I went back to school (paid with my own money), won awards and bursaries which ended up being more than what I paid for tuition!

That's a pretty rough time you're having Diva. I've been through a job loss too and understand what you're going through.

I too have had my rough years and then had the good ones as well. Glad to see that Sadie's alive. She is a real sweetie and has beautiful eyes.

Hang in there Diva. Try to remember that you're not alone and that you're in a lot of people's thoughts. I know what I said may sound corny but it's true.

We're rooting for you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles; but look in that baby's face and see how very lucky you are! She's beautiful.

I noticed you didn't post anything about your brother. I'm hoping that means things are going well for him and that would be another thing to be thankful for.

I know its hard to look at the positive things when so much seems to suck. But you must do it. Because I said so.

good news today - just found out that the husband can file for unemployment AND still recieve his severance pay.

the contract he signed with the company said they couldn't refuse the claim.

when he worked for this place, in addition to his regular paycheck he also recieved expense checks for mileage (which was an extra few hundred a week for the amount he traveled) - well without those expense checks coming in - is where we were really struggling to make ends meet.

now that we know we can collect unemployment - it's looking up for us. guess it's gonna be a slow process, but we're getting there.

on another good note, we are going to the zoo on thursday (free day) - we NEVER got to do things like that when he was working for this company. he had to work a mandatory 10 hours a day, weekends and if anyone knows someone in the accounting/auditing field - knows that busy season is a bitch.

so as he said it best "i'll probably not miss my daughter's first steps now"

:o)
