I'm getting old.

| | | Woke up this morning and went to swallow my own spit, only to find that doing so hurt immensely. I had to lay in bed and drool all over the place, holding cold water in my mouth to get the swelling down. Couldn't eat till around noon, and even now I'm just barely able to talk and drink. Held my tongue out with a piece of napkin and grabbed my headlamp, and sure enough, those buggers were swollen right out, almost up against my uvula. Normally, I can't even see them. No fever, no cold. Just pain, which leads me to believe they aren't infected. I know this is a warning sign that my body's about to get ravaged by sickness, but god damn! Why now? I've got a million and one things to do and I have a sweet exploring trip planned tomorrow. I hate my compromised immune system. (gripe about your sicknesses here.)
