I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the Batavia area (it's about 30 miles northeast of Cincinnati), but there is a large Ford Plant that has been there since 1981 and it is now closed. It just closed this month, so it's obviously not a good idea to go exploring any time soon, I just wanted to see if anyone knew anything else about it, and how long do you think one should wait after a place is closed to start exploring?
There hasn't been any word released yet as to what they plan on doing with the place, but it is HUGE.
This large building here is JUST the offices. There is a HUGE factory behind it, which I can't seem to find a picture of anywhere. Guess I'll have to take those myself.

Yeah, that place is huge. I have been by it quite a few times on the way to my aunts farm. If it's anything like Ford's other plant down in Oakley it wont last long, they tore that down pretty soon after closing it, and still haven't built the new Super Wal-Mart.

Anyway, I think it will either stay semi-active as they remove equipment, or be alarmed to prevent scrapping that is pretty popular in that area. It will definitely be worth checking out though.

Haha, I just bowled a match at Suburban Bowl there a few months ago, which is right next to it.

I can't imagine they're using all of it; community colleges that move into former industrial complexes seem to always leave something in disuse.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.
