The other day I went to my trusted photo developing place but ended up waiting in line in front of two people. It wasn't too bad at first, until I noticed that the frist guy was cropping and editing every photo he took right at the kiosk, while it yammered on in a mono-tone voice about how to crop and edit images (EXTREMELY ANNOYING!). After waiting about 15 minutes, the second person began doing the same thing! Why are people so stupid??! Do your editing at home so people don't have to wait through you editing 200 photos of your dogs taken on your crap camera.

I don't understand how people will develop all 200 photos from their memory card without first looking on their computers at home to see if they're shit or not.

I chatted a bit with the lady behind the counter after looking through my developed images. She told me she often has to help people figure out the kiosk and walk them through editing their countless images. She HATES it when they do that.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Most of what I've noticed about those kiosks is that most of the people using them have a digital camera but no computer at home (and wouldn't have a clue what to do with a computer if they had one). I've never actually used one, but of course, I shoot film and have them develop the film and then scan them onto a CD.

A buddy of mine uploads his raw files to Wal*Mart and then goes to the store an hour later to pick them up. I've yet to try it but he seems to swear by it.

I do the same thing with Walgreens.

Last time I had photos developed at Walmart, 7 pictures went "missing".
