Yes, thanks to the time honored technique of observance, I managed to discover another old routing of Hwy 2 (Durham Hwy 2 to be precise).

This specific chunk of "old" Hwy 2 is located at the intersection of "new" present day Hwy 2 and Solina Road, just east of Courtice.

This is seriously the most exciting UE-related thing in Durham Region since the discovery of the gigantic mansion in Pickering.

This discovery dwarfs the gigantic mansion. It is fun finding how they changed highway 2 and left old sections behind

Just thought i would mention they are going to town on a bunch of properties on Prestonvale north of Bloor. Drove by them a couple of days ago and notice that the big barn that sat on Oke road was torn down and possibly the house that was with it is gone as well. Another old barn that hugged prestonvale a little farther south was torn down when i drove past that day. Today i was by again and they were bringing down another house

Yeah that neighborhood is growing by leaps and bounds. It's odd to look at how the new subdivisions stop right at the Oshawa/Courtice border. The developers only have plans on the Oshawa side of Townline Road so while the Oshawa side is one cookie-cutter home after another, on the Courtice side it's still farms and green space.
