Ever hear the story about the woman who sued mc donalds because she was driving and she had her coffee between he legs and it spilled on her? With a lot of lawsuits, common sense could have avoided the situation. I think she won the lawsuit and now Mcyd's has to put labels on the coffee cups that say: WARNING THIS BEVERAGE IS HOT. I think the label should have said: WARNING IF YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO KNOW THAT THIS BEVERAGE IS HOT THEN YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO DRINK COFFEE. Yeah, stupid lawsuits piss me off.

There's a judge in NY state who's suing a mom & pop dry cleaning thingy for $50 million dollars because they lost a pair of his pants.

The McDonald's coffee lawsuit stands in my memory as the first widely publicized lawsuit often attacked as frivolous. However, you must consider this before attacking this woman for suing McDonald's:

1. The coffee served at McDonald's is/was served at 185-195 degrees F. This is just a few degrees shy of boiling, and around twenty degrees hotter than other restaurants.

2. The woman in the lawsuit received second and third degree burns to her thighs, buttocks, and groin. She required skin grafts and a week long hospital stay. The thought of a third degree burn on my cunt makes me a lot angrier than the idea of a frivolous lawsuit. She continued to require treatment a full two years after the initial hospital stay.

3. She stated many times that she wouldn't have sued McDonald's if they'd just covered her hospital bill, but they did not. Her hospital bills were in the $200,000 range.

4. She was awarded 2.9 million dollars. However, like in a lot of lawsuits, a judge later lowered that to $640,000. McDonald's challenged this, and both parties settled out of court for less than $600,000.

5. McDonald's had been receiving complaints for years that their coffee was too hot, with over seven hundred people being injured by it.

6. Though people often say the woman was driving when the incident occurred, she was in the passenger seat of her grandson's car, and her grandson had pulled the car over so she could add cream and sugar to her coffee.

The lost pants lawsuit in New York, on the other hand, is completely ridiculous. It's not even about a pair of pants, because the dry cleaners found the pants two days after they misplaced them. It's about some chode judge who needs to get kicked in the shins for the rest of eternity.

It's coffee. It's hot. You don't gulp this shit down because it's often very hot.

Are you serious? That judge doesn't need to get kicked in the shins. He needs to get kicked in the balls.

Yea, that sucks. I always put cold water in my coffee because I like to drink it right away!

Was served summons back in December for an accident that happened in 2007. The other driver was charged and the cop actually complimented my driving.
Actual words from the cop "Your driving saved that lady's life tonight."

Well, the person suing me was the lady whose life was saved because of my driving. Goes to show that no good deed ever goes unpunished.

Among the 12 accusations she made against me, the last four were really insulting. Apparently, I was drunk or stoned at the time of the accident, a very incompetent driver, was not wearing my glasses and I was using my cell phone at the time of the accident.

Anyway, I made it very clear via our insurance company that this was all bullshit and that I can prove this in court. I also told our insurance guy that this is a frivolous lawsuit and that the plaintiff's lawyer didn't do their homework. Some humming and hawing from the plaintiff, a suggestion that "we can settle this out of court" (with an almost very rude suggestion as to what they can do with themselves), some more bullshit and finally, she dropped the lawsuit against me and the other driver. Got the papers last night and thankfully, this bullshit matter is closed! Made for a wonderful Christmas with that crap hanging over my head as well as all the other shit. Note the sarcasm
Glad it's finally over.

The people who launch these stupid lawsuits should get their heads smacked. Too much crap and stress.

Although he made the cleaners lives miserable, everyone else realized he was a nutjob and his life took a sharp turn downward. Cracked used him in an article a while back http://www.cracked...ystem-screwed.html

I know of a woman who, after a night of drinking, took a ride home from a guy who was also drunk. She was giving him a bj in the front seat when they crashed into something, and she broke her foot.

She's now suing his insurance company.

I guess she should have been warned that an accident causing injury could happen while administering a bj to a drunk driver while the vehicle was in motion.

I can just imagine the warning stickers in the cars after that.

Most guys remove those tags from their penis within the first few weeks after getting them. The McDonald's case was a deserving one - repeated injuries, reports of problems, and no change "so that it tastes better." You don't need to serve scalding liquid in fragile containers.

You don't need to drink coffee if you don't know how. She spilled her coffee and expected McD's to take care of her injurys? Its like suing a cig company cause you got cancer, oh wait. Idiots do that too. Well its like suing a car company and tire company because you overloaded the SUV and don't check your tire pressure, oh wait. Ladys and Gentlemen of the jury, remember above all else, nothing is ever your own damned fault. I hope the bitches cooch never healed.

True there and then the auto manufacturers should put the tags on the steering wheel or at least some where in the car so it's in the bj administrator's line of sight to ensure the warning is delivered.

And if Mc D's makes their coffee cold (to prevent scalding injuries), then someone will sue because they were grossed out by the disgusting taste.

Maybe there should be an IQ test given before someone is allowed to buy coffee.
