Went for a hike in the woods today and came across another remnant of the former CNoR {Canadian Northern Railway}. I found the bridge about two miles in along a splinter path of the Orono Crown land paths. I am sure many people walk across it not knowing what is below thier feet. From above you see a railing footed in cement with a long drop to the creek below. But when you go down to the creek bed you have a excellent view of our railway past. The bridge is marked as being built in 1910 and i know this section was removed in the late 30's. The name "Carleton" was carved in the cement on the top of the bridge. Not sure if that dated from the original bridge creation. There was also a cool little wooden bridge just south of the train bridge. It was built with logs and when you walk across it you can bounce up and down to make it move.
