Sometime after Myrkur's visit it appears like Whitby (or whomever owns this site these days) has rather stealthily boarded up the doors and windows. Virtually almost all entry points have been blocked...

Crap, was there recently, couldn't find a way in. You can get into the glassed in porch, but no further. You might have to show me how to go farther ;)

Should the location be taken off being public? I went there today With Dukkah and the fireplaces were smashed walls kicked in. The front door was blowing in the wind. The place is a lot different for the other gallery pictures.

I agree, but I changed it anyways. I feel bad if someone on UER did the vandalism, though I suspect it's just a bunch of independent asshats doing the deed. This is just one more nail in the coffin on the place. Soon there'll be a Wal*mart at this location...

Hopefully they will restore the place. That would be quite the gem for the community. Let's keep our fingers crossed. And if I win the jackpot on Friday...

i had a feeling that there where looking at it for other reasons to do stuff with, cuz they didn't look like there where any where near the people that would have money like that to buy and fix up the place.

Back to Ft. Knox status now. That door has been uber-stealthed with steel beams around the door frame and two industrial-strength locks at the top and base of the door. Re/Max is listing the place now. A buyer will likely demo rather than save.

Last chance to get in, I guess. By all means necessary...

Back when I went about a week or less ago, there were two industrial strength locks that used to be on the door, but they were laying on the ground.. I guess now it's locked up for good... there's no way in, unless you want to climb on the roof above the porch area (the one with all windows) and climb in through an unboarded window.

I can't remember if I'm a member of this board still or not, but here goes. Abstract and I were over at the Manor about two weeks ago and couldn't find any way in, short of being less than ethical. As mentioned, you could ninja your way up to the roof and climb in, but it looks like a less than stellar climb.
