my daughter and i got our tongues pierced together 2 years ago when she was 16, and there was no purpose behind it,( it actually gets in the way for bj's...lol) we both have piercings and liked the look.We have also gotten tattooed together ..we both have 3 now. I think age isnt a factor as long as you have parental consent. But that is just my opinion.

I agree. You can like a piercing for the look and not get it for any certain purpose. I don't have my tongue pierced, but know many people who do, none of which got it for a sexual reason.
