	OK, I should know this but I cant figure out for the life of me why my computer wont turn on. The green power light comes on on the tower and the red light come on on the MoBo so the PSU is fine but the HDD isnt truning on. No noises or nothing, just 2 lights. I changed the IDE 3 times eith other ones that I have but nothing. Help?

	try resetting cmos by removing the bios battery and putting it back in. I had similar problems and thats what fixed it.

	Is that the little watch-type battery on the MoBo? I talked to Silent Knight and he said maybe the power plug that Im using. Im too lazy to go check on it.

	yeah its the little watch battery, completely remove it and then maybe clean the surface if it looks dirty and put it back in.

	But be warned that I'm pretty sure this resets your BIOS settings. You may want to go back in after if it works and check if everything is good to go.

	I got it figured out. The power plug I was using to connect to the HDD was missing a metal pin.

	w000t! Im back. I found a 1.6gb HDD and installed XP Home to get a computer back up and running.

	Well I beat it by getting the 15gb XP Pro drive thats getting bitchy as a secondary drive. I have 2.4mb space left on the 1.6gb. I need to know though, how should I go about installing things like ICQ and Mozilla cause they ant to unpack to the 1.6 and it dfoenst have enough space and I cant change where it installs till it unpacks. Hell Ive had to reformat 12 times (the1.6) to get Home to install. I began at noon and finished at 130 with a working computer. [last edit 7/14/2004 1:05 AM by Jesus Jones - edited 1 times]
