back a month or so, we were without service for a couple of days. I called and insisted that they pro-rate me a bill and send me a replacement remote. They wanted $9.95 to send me the remote. Fuck you. I pay over $200 for cable, you're going to send me the remote. The fuckstick on the phone talked to his supervisor (allegedly) and agreed to send me the remote. One maybe two months went by, no remote, called them back, no record of my conversation even though i had the guy's name and extension number. This miserable bitch named CJ got on the phone and gave me attitude, told me the remote problem was "abuse of equipment" and I was "merely renting" it and that I would be required to drive 2 hours to replace it. I was mad enough yesterday I was ready to drive to Glens Falls and strangle this bitch with a phone cord.

OK.

This is when we call back on Tuesday and ask to speak to a manager directly.

I have gotten them to have someone bring me equipment by threatening to cancel my service and being ready to go through with it.

I stayed calm and just kept saying that I wanted a manager and that I wanted someone to bring me an HD cable box and that I would give him the old one or I would cancel my account.

The bitch caved after I0 minutes.

Satellite right?

This area of the country is difficult for satellite reception with the trees and mountains. Mostly its the trees. I used to have Primestar which ran off two EchoStar satellites. Those satellites are to the northwest of my house, just above the horizon. Where I had to have the dish placed was great for year or two or during the winter, but after the trees grew up or grew leaves in the summer, my reception went to shit .

You can get cheaper cable with less services, but, you miss out on like The Walking Dead or Warehouse 13, because you only get like half the channels, just the basic stuff. No Syfy or AMC.

Says the woman with the 280 dollar cable bill. Includes my phone and internet, Nationwide unlimited calling and unlimited broadband.

It keeps the rest of my house off my pc, tablet and internet. Also Time Warner lets me watch TV on my tablet and pc.

Nope, I'm cable. I heard sat folks lost AMC. I've got major league internet for $29.95, cell phone with more data than I've ever used is $69.95. My whole deal is less than Sam's damn cable. More I hear about the rest of the country, the more I like New Mexico.

Yes we are. The only good point to any of it is that there isn't much else I really do but play on the internet.

Time Warner has a monopoly up here, so they pretty much charge whatever they want. They know what
we do about satellite.

Got tired of cable. Got a mini-pc for the television. Cut the cable. Torrents all the way. No regrets. Never miss a show. Get to keep 200$ a month. Ma Bell is next.
