Whenever I move into a new hotel or dorm room, I immediately begin to rate it in terms of zombie survivability and escape routes.

Equator-facing rooms (south for you, north for me) are best because they get the maximum sunlight for the vegetable garden you will need to grow to survive the siege. Also, obviously, the higher the better. And if they come with a Bible, hey, free apocalyptic literature to set the mood.
