I've got a terralux maglite the 3 emitter upgrade it is ridiculously bright, it is very comparable to my Fenix TK-30. It big, heavy and eats batteries on high but the durability and ease of finding a donor body are hard to beat not to mention it was $40 cheaper than the Fenix too.

Also if your in sketchy area a 4-6 cell maglite makes a great self defense tool without seeming as threating to law enforcement or security as a knife or other tool would.

Man... Not even the mods make it to this corner of UER
I feel like I am in ...well... the great plains ;) Posted by willskith Unfortunately, due to overuse of tonemapping, photography was gradually ruined and now stands with halos.

And you can fill the tailcap with pennies under the spring.

Be a man. The mag tail-cap is nearly heatproof. Heat it on the stove and pour lead in.

Gratuitous plug: We do have a private board called Flashlights, Torches and Light Painting, for those who like to nerd it up on this topic.

I have a plastic 2D Dorcy light modded to about 500 lumens. It's funny-looking though because I had to get an extra inch for the halogen socket...
