Entry: Elevator Surfing

Act(s) of riding an elevator in an unconventional way.

Elevator surfing may be dangerous if common sense rules are not followed. Keep all loose objects away from sides, keep yourself away from sides. Do not touch any cables or swing body parts about. This activity is usually performed by entering the elevator cabin from the above floor and using the service controls to move car up/down or just let the passengers ride the car at full speed.

Be wary of elevators that have key card access, pin tumbler switches, or other restricted controls. If that's the case, tampering with service controls may trigger a security mechanism to lock you in on the top floor.
