am I the only one that got all misty over an abandoned Camaro?

Nope. Me too. And that flat fender.

A friend just bought 20 acres of woods in the middle of nowhere. He stumbled upon this 59 Pontiac Catalina in the very back of his lot, completely gutted. It seems this was someone's personal junkyard as there's the mutilated remains of an late 50's/early 60's GMC behind it.

The GMC grille is the only recognizable piece in this mess.

Bonus: 81 Plymouth TC3.
While it's sitting on a front lawn, the car's plates expired in 2000 and is growing moss on the driver's side. It's abandoned if I say it's abandoned.

It ran when parked, and there's a couple scraps of carpet holding the seats in place. A/c doesn't work. Just needs a $35 part to run perfect.
No low ballers I know what I got.

But in all seriousness it would be bitchin' to get that car running again.

What's the lure with the crappy old Omni/Horizon? It's got a VW 1.7 with a grand total of 70 horsepower. If it's the upgrade, it's got a Chrysler 2.2 with a whopping 84 horse. The velocity in which Pabst/Taco Bell-powered feces leaves my rectum has more power behind it.

Not necessarily the car itself, I just think it would be hilarious to drive a car with a derelict body with moss growing all over it. And as slow as they were, I love boxy 80's hatchbacks. Other people like them too, for some reason.

Good answer! If I had a need for a little, tiny, powerless shit car to ride around in the city and commute to work and so-on, I'd get a third-gen Ford Escort ZX-2. I've always liked their strange, egg-shaped styling cues and the motor has 130 horse, which is good-enough, I guess. IDK, over the last decade I've owned a Mercury Grand Marquis with 235 hp (police-package) and now I have a Tahoe with 275 hp so I'm power-spoiled. I'm an aggressive driver as well and need immediate pick-up to fight Philly traffic.

I own a 1986 version of this with the 351CID under the hood. It'll be getting a 460 at some point with a matching transmission to boot.

Had a 02 ZX-2. Fragile Trans tho. Went thru 3 before the warranty was up. I did drive the hell out of it tho.

the 460 is a boat anchor. you're better off with the 351 Windsor.

I had a 351 Windsor in my '77 Thunderbird and it was slower than a constipated turd being sucked back into my anus. I'd stomp on that bitch and it would gradually pick up speed over the next 30 seconds, much to my disappointment and a complete detriment to my anger-management issues. 149 hp? More like 80. Too little for too much. I could run into traffic quicker with my own two legs.

are you sure it was a Windsor? most of that vintage thunderbird and ltd II, had either the 302 or the 351M which was a gutless bucket of crank-eating turd.

Yeah mang, it was a 351 "W". I found out when the radiator froze then split and I took it to a mechanic to get fixed. I was in my early 20's and had no clue how to repair anything auto-related. He said if it was a 351M, he would've bought it off me. The 351M model was a modified 400 with different pistons and crankshaft. The rest of the motor is a stock 400. I paid $700 for it, beat it until blue smoke was pouring from the dripping exhaust, then sold it for $750! A friend of mine had a 1978 400 small-block and that one had some nice pick-up. but he had aftermarket Edelbrock and Holly components on the motor and glass-packs (Cherrybombs) on the exhaust. Still nothing compared to another buddy's '77 Trans Am with the 455. That thing would smoke 'em up between speed-bumps at the mall.

I was exploring an old quarry today, and stumbled across this car in a dilapidated shed. All identification marks were stripped from the vehicle, and the paint was partially buffed off. Can anybody tell me the manufacturer and model if possible?
