The video makes the driver look pretty guilty. As it seems, he almost ran them over, they smacked the hood like "wtf?" and he floored it and mowed them down

You crowd around me, yeah. I run your ass down like a dog. Ever see the video of the trucker damn near beat to death in a mob? Same fucking difference.

Well that's what he gets for driving a Mercedes Benz in Oakland. He should have known better. I don't feel sorry for the driver one bit.

This my friend was an exercise in parody. The fact you took me seriously is hilarious.

I'm just glad you cleared that up. For a moment I thought you were serious. And I was sad. I like the budda.

If the police don't think he did anything criminal, that really surprises me.

When this tape lands in front a civil court judge, I bet the driver ends up opening his wallet.

Why? If I was on the jury I would make the person he hit pay for damages to his vehicle. Act like animals...............

Even if I damage your vehicle, you're not allowed to murder me and my friend.

You call the police if someone damages your vehicle, you don't take the law in to your own hands. This isn't your home, this is a crowded street.

A street full of people fucking with you. Floor it and knock some sense into em. 5 little words will set you free "I feared for my life". This isn't some little car accident. It is a mob of people screaming and hitting your car. Run em right the fuck over. Backing up may get you in trouble, but if you floor it out of there, hey. Cost of being a protester IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING STREET.

I feared for my life. Easy get out of jail card. And had he pounded on my hood, he would hope I just run him over and not get out. Tell ya that shit right now.

Don't care, not his car. Don't fucking touch it. I'm gonna ride by a occupy event tonight to give em some coffee and water. Why? Just to be nice. But if one of em fuck with me or any of my shit I will drop em. Respect will get you much further than thuggery.

You can say you feared for your life but if there is a video of your sitting in your car, clearing showing the person you are so afraid of on the outside of your car, nowhere near you, it'll become harder to convince others you were in such danger.

Doesn't matter. If you are threating me I can react legally to it. Hell, some states allow castle doctrine for your vehicle too (as they should) so you can defend it. Sorry, I feel no sympathy for a moron damaging property and getting his ass handed to him.

Oregon is not a castle doctrine state when vehicles are concerned. In this case, the driver is thereby required to look for a non-deadly way to exit the situation. Someone hitting the hood of your vehicle does not constitute a danger to one's person.

In castle doctrine states, the threat must be an "imminent deadly threat" to either yourself or others on your property (or vehicle in some states). Which means someone would need to be reaching into the cabin or attempting to break the cabin glass.

In this case, an "imminent deadly threat" was NOT present for driver, nor was he in a vehicle friendly state for the castle doctrine. Therefore, he would be guilty of a crime in either case.

Sorry, Jeep. The law is clear in this case. Driver is gonna be in some pretty deep shit.
