Forgotten Neighborhood

Google earth shows 60+ houses in a 600' x 600' area. This was planned as a recon visit, because of a popular walking trail and a high-profile location with security on three sides, I wanted to plan a few escape routes before returning with backup.
It was more overgrown then I thought, so I snuck in and checked out one corner of the place.

I was waterfront cottages. Land taken by eminent domain by the city to make way for a new condo project. Something stopped the development.

Haha, sounds like a tagline for a horror/monster movie. Cool find, enjoy!

Sweet find, I love ghost towns--it's kind of eerie to see so many homes just left to die off. A series of personal memories forgotten.

Leave it to government thieves to force people out of their homes for pennies on the dollar, oh – did I mention our dollar, give it to a friend, then the friend cuts and run.

…Grrrrr. OK, sorry for the anti-big-government diatribe… Back to the thread…

Cool splore & nice pics!

The worst thing about our government is the rich can steal from the poor and give it to the other rich. Wait, that's also our Tax system!

The graffiti on the walls beg to differ.

Security on three sides? is this on Staten Island? If so I think I know what it is.
