more piccys with kabes. this sucker was a tough nut to crack, took us a good 45 minutes to get past the security and fences. the citys been wrapping it up for the past couple of years ever since some gang related stabbings happened up in it. pictures came out ass so might go back in a couple months with my camera to get some better flicks

Fishslapper, his buddy, and I check out a popular drain by the locals of Milpitas.

Into the dark. We got some weird looks but the locals living in the apartments. Oh well.

The west entrance of the drain transferred into a Rectangular Concrete Pipe to a round concrete pipe. Something I've not seen before.

Baby bat. Later in the drain we almost got ran through by another bat, and all of us dropped down, and bolted for the exit.

The RCP went up into another RCP. The rungs of the ladder were corroded and the debris that was collected on there made it hard for us to traverse.

Eastern entrance.

Bay Area drainers definitely know what this drain is. Fishslapper and I hadn't been here before, so we decided to make the trip out here.

I invested in some new camera equipment. Some of these shots are alternated between my digital camera and my phone.

The entrance was pretty accessible and we were shocked to find a lot of school furniture down here. I wonder why..

We even found a coach in there about a mile or two down.

While taking this shot there was a big gush of water from the nearby creek that sounded like an explosion.

About 2 miles down there is an RCP we plan on finishing exploring. There is a manhole that is almost unreachable from there due to it's height, but luckily someone put a rope.

Manhole was just left open. Probably from some other explorers who had popped it previously.

My attempt at light painting

Ramp

Yeah there is ghost me there I know, I have to improve my light painting. Anyways, 2 miles down into the drain Fishslapper and I heard a little girl crying and it was echoing softly throughout the drian. It kept going for 10 minutes and we knew there was no way a little girl was down in the drain by herself. Turns out it was her laughter from the park above us!

I ended up getting poison sumac, careful guys

WOW I really love all of these awesome drain pictures! I like to see the rungs and how deep the shafts are plus the different shaped tunnels! The graffiti is cool too! Drains are super awesome and fun to walk in the big tunnels plus they are my favorite thing to explore! Keep up the great work and keep exploring drains!

5ft high. I'm considering about investing in an o2 meter because I've come across so many small RCPs that go on forever I'd like to do.

There's really no grates or areas where there is draft. Just dead air in most of these. I don't even know if RCPs that stretch for that long are even worth doing, as they probably won't open up to cool features. The thought that there will be something worth documenting inclines me

Did you ever get to the end of this drain? I think you should see how far the whole drain goes. I'm very curious to hear more about this drain, as well as all drains. In the MSP community I am known as the drain guy (LOL). I will say that I don't get tired of walking in storm drain tunnels, as long as I have the time to walk the tunnels, then I will do it being as I love to walk long distances, no lie.

I didn't know that you did 2 drains (LOL). Did you get to the end of both of your drains? If yes, What was at the end of the tunnels? Did the tunnels get too small or Did they end with a drop shaft? Does that make sense on what I'm asking?

I didn't go to the end. I'll do it someday with skateboards and an o2 meter. The height is very shallow. There's a lot of drains I've explored (specifically the RCPs) where I didn't go to the end.

Oh ok that's very awesome! Please keep me updated on if you ever get to the end of the drains. I'm curious to know what it looks like.

I have no idea how someone could get a couch in the drain either but I do know that here in MSP I know of at least one drain that people somehow got furniture into the upper part of the drain and it didn't look very easy to get it into the drain to start with (LOL).
