I hate being young

Don't ever say that. You'll find yourself regretting you ever did before you even know it.

As for the rest of us, it's the unfortunate reality that exploring is always a legal risk, and exploring with minors is an even bigger one--it's the difference between a simple trespassing citation and a felony arrest. July isn't far off, so use that time to gain some experience

I understand completely, could you tell me of some good draining spots though? That's my main interest

Damn, seems like every Urbexer I run into from KY seems to be from Louisville. I'm in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area, myself... last time I went exploring around Louisville was Waverly Hills, before the current owners bought the place and started charging people.

I like the amount of Cincy area explorers popping up lately.

Not all KY explorers are from there. I live in the Northern KY/ Cincy area.

I'm in Louisville about once a season since my parents live there, last time I found what I believed to be an old train station on Dixie highway, super easy to access. Mostly outdoor exploring due to the condition of the building, but there are a few other structures on site.

Anyone still around in Louisville. Would love to talk to some people about the area or what have you. Just kinda getting started in this hobby and would love some pointers.

Understandably. Lexington doesn't have water access like Louisville, so back in the day it didn't explode industrially like Louisville. So it's a given that the majority of Louisville's historic landmarks are industrial-related

I was over in Lexington in the summer visiting a friend and I couldn't find shit to explore. All's we did was explore some rooftops in downtown.

My friend manhandled me up a roof once.

Yo. Not really an abundance of stuff in Louisville (that I know of). But there's plenty of stuff in the rural areas surrounding to explore. Taking the non-highway route anywhere in Kentucky is a pretty easy way to find some goodies.

I've found a place or 2 since I got started. And yeah you're right. Especially south on 31w past etown has a bunch of cool stuff.

I'm not active at all on here (just occasional lurking), but I've started exploring around town during the evenings. I'm an active motorcyclist and the two hobbies pair well together.

I'm new to UER and also new to Louisville. I'm hankering to get out and do some exploring as soon as the heat of summer drops off and I have a few extra hours of darkness.
