Coolest things you've found

What are some really cool things you've found left in abandonments. One of my best finds was in a 1-story, long abandoned house in the woods while camping. In a broken bedside table, I found a small box full of old coins, from Indian Head pennies to morgan dollars, mainly from the late 1800's, and really old bottles of morphine sulfate and penicillin in a box on the floor. What are some cool things you guys have found while exploring?

At an old religious commune we found hand made ceramic crosses bearing the symbol of the commune that had been fired and glazed, we also found ammunition for weapons, about a thousand two way radios, infrared tripwires, a library of religious books a massive outdoor chapel, and we found the cult leaders sword and his throne, was pretty epic and eerie as well.

Yeah it was pretty intense, cult started in the 70's, the guy running it made frequent trips to the middle east, and returned with ak47s etc, the place is like a castle literally, they had underground tunnels, secret wall cavities behind bookshelves, and of course the leader was 'giving it' to most of the women inside the compound, when he died all his followers sat in vigil around his body waiting for him to rise again like christ....when that didn't happen people started to wise up and leave apart from a few hardcore followers, the entire site is in a legal trust and there court disputes about people getting their share back out of it...I have about 130 ish photos of the site, here a few shots to wet your appetite

I'm just waiting/hoping for full membership so i can post it in the location DB, we have had three trips out there including one at night, and we still haven't covered all of the underground section of the compound.

I found an old drawing kit from the 1800's when I was a kid. It's made of wood, and the front has a map of the US on it. It opens up and has a scroll inside you turn with drawing lessons on it. You keep all the artists stuff inside. I found it with my parents when I was a kid, so I didn't know the UER take no footprints thing then. It's somewhere at my dads house if he didn't already get rid of it (mouse infestation in the basement made them get rid of tons of stuff).

oh heck yeah! it rules! can't wait to go back and explore some more, every time we go there it is real adventure cos there is always something new to find!, we have to make our trips short tho cos one of them still lives out there, and i'm not so keen on meeting him, in saying that, we have seen him a couple of times and then made our way out.

I don't blame you, it looks fuckin awesome! But yeah, I'd steer clear of that guy, cultists are sketchy!

I used to live within a couple of miles away from Tony Alamo's california cult compound. I don't remember much since I was just a child at the time. However, I do remember his flyers everywhere. Everytime you went shopping, people would slip that shit under your windshield wiper.

Behind every mistake, there is a lesson.

I'm just not that great at learning them!

I was recently in a farm house where the ol' lady had THOUSANDS of journals that other UErs had strewn about. My shooting buddy went out and was taking pics while I sat and read some. This woman was crazy. She would clip newspaper articles and glue them into the journal and write about how this was another sign from God that the end times were coming.

She had tapes upon tapes from this religious cult in Texas and letters from the cult imploring the members to send more money or read this passage. Very creepy!

Living is easy with eyes closed.

I found a lucky penny and a $1 Mohegan Sun gaming token.

Softly creeping through
Empty hallways decades old,
glimpsing history.

A stain on Mike Tyson's mattress. Oh wait, that goes in the "creepy" thread.

“We are not going to have the kind of cooperation we need if everyone insists on their own narrow version of reality. … the great divide in the world today … is between people who have the courage to listen and those who are convinced that they already know it all.”

Oh dude! we found stuff like this too....in most of the buildings there we scraps of paper everywhere with misc prayers and sermons written on them, apparently the cult leader used to make them sit in prayer and scripture writing sessions well into the early hours of the morning and if people complained he would turn everyone against them and shun the person as a non believer and not of pure blood etc etc just madness!
