Do I have your attention? Good.

Now, take a look at this:

The XL100 has a motion sensing interface

Wait, wat? Wow.. Ok, hands down the coolest light. I wonder if you can stuff a 18650 into it?

About time they step up their game.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

It's cool but I don't like how they implemented the interface. My friend and I were discussing it when this was announced (so a couple months back) and came up with what seems like a much better alternative where the actual absolute orientation of the flashlight isn't of concern.

Thumbs up for including a variable-frequency strobe! That lockout is interesting, too. I'm still not entirely sold on the concept of this thing, but at least it's something different.

I actually really like the concept but the implementation is poor.

Biggest issue? In the pitch black I don't want to have to know which direction that mark on the rear switch is facing. Glow in the dark isn't the answer either IMO, I shouldn't have to look at my light to know how to operate it.

There are other things my friend and I found fault with (as I previously mentioned) and I really wish I had the resources to make a light like it with the interface I came up with because it's just a cool idea IMO.
