I ordered a Quark with a warm (not just neutral) emitter last Friday night. I love the current Australian-US exchange rate <3

Lucky! Radio Shack here has MiniMags on sale - about $15. I grabbed one and passed it off to a friend who has no flashlights.

I have about 16 flashlights now. Which, i know is a relatively small collection compared to some of you.

But take for example the free one I got from that site that was posted up on here a while ago. The free "samples", with the LED light in the stainless steel housing with the color filters?

Yeah, it puts out "okay" light, nothing special.

I'd definitely give it away if I knew someone who needed a light though. As well as the high output ones I got at costco.

I'm increasingly more and more interested in building them up custom now though. Since I know more now exactly what I want them to do, and how I want them to function; and if I can't find one for a reasonable price which already does that, then I'm interested in making one.

I'm working on a design for a helmet mounted lighting system right now, and a friend with a machining press and lathe has promised to assist me in making prototypes.

It's funny, all my cheap lights take 123 or 18650 batteries, and are useless for passing on to anyone else. My AA lights are all Quarks and Fenixes

I just did it again! I ordered a Fenix diffuser, so UER10 wouldn't have applied, but CPF8 should have. Granted, it would only be eighty cents or so, but it's the principle of the thing!

I just ordered another three dildo diffusers. I bought three just a few weeks ago, and I can only find one of them. Where do they go?!

Well yes. What do you use?

edit: wait, wouldn't a dildo and a fleshlight be a little pointless?

Sadly, I'm sure that someone, somewhere, has done that.

Just got my wf606A in the mail today from Deal Extreme yesterday! I subsequently dunked it while lightpainting , but it's still working. *phew*

I really need to stop buying cheap Chinese flashlights. That silly free shipping gets me every time.

...Still waiting on a 1XAA 5-mode light that I discovered on this forum.

Damn that free shipping!

I was tempted by a warm white MC-E light for $22 on dealextreme the other day. I'm not really sure how I resisted

Lots of good dealers give free or cheap shipping. Buy real lights

It's true, I sold them all into slavery to fund battery purchases.

This is a good point! 4Sevens gives free shipping, and stuff takes as long to arrive as it does from dealextreme, for that authentic experience!

Only takes that long cause you're on the most distant continent ever.
